Hunger Free Kansas Hunger Free Kansas: Cowley County

What they needed

K-State Extension’s Cowley County project wanted more people to know about local food and nutrition resources, including the RISE Cowley Resource Directory. It needed a short film that put the pantries and the people running them on screen, and that told viewers who to call. Its review of the first cut asked for clearer participant identification, more relevant footage, and a closing invitation to contact Extension.

What I made

A 2:45 short film. I produced and edited it. The footage is interviews with pantry volunteers, food distribution organizers, Extension staff, and other local partners, shot at pantries and distributions in Winfield, Burden, and around the county. The reviewed cut ends with Extension contact information.

What happened

The records I have show the film and the revisions Extension asked for. They do not establish whether awareness or use of resources increased.
